Baldwin Pianos

Baldwin has established itself as the most recognized American brand of pianos. As the exclusive authorized dealer of Baldwin pianos in the North Texas Area, Encore Pianos has a variety of Baldwin pianos ready to play on our showroom floor. Because we represent the full Baldwin line, we can accommodate purchases for any of Baldwin’s dozens of vertical and grand pianos.

Baldwin began in 1890 and for many decades was the most popular piano in America.  Under the ownership of Gibson Guitar Corporation, Baldwin Artist grands are manufactured in Trumann, Arkansas. The Artist grand series includes models such as the L1 Artist Grand, the SF10, and the SD10, which are 7 and 9 feet concert instruments.  These Artist grands have long enjoyed outstanding quality, value, and popularity in churches and institutions as well as in the homes of pianists. The L1 Artist Grand delivers a magnificently rich and thunderous sound, making it a favorite among many of today’s most prominent jazz players.  These pianos have enjoyed the continued development of design and sound improvement over many decades here in the U.S. Baldwin has been the only U.S. company striving to make and sell pianos from entry level to the finest artist quality grand pianos.

Baldwin consumer-grade pianos are manufactured in its two factories in Zhongshan and Dongbei, China. Rarely do you see such a combination of playability and durability as exhibited in Baldwin’s attractive furniture style verticals and grands. These pianos are designed to meet the demanding needs of today’s versatile pianists. While the newest consumer-grade Baldwin pianos are made in China (like most entry level pianos), we still have stock of a few vertical pianos that were made in Trumanm, Arkansas. These are the very models that have been the most widely used pianos in schools and universities across the U.S.  (Baldwin is still the most widely used piano brand in U.S. universities.)

The U.S. designed vertical pianos are now being made by Baldwin in China, but we also have stock of the last U.S. made verticals while supplies last.
